Who flies you: operators and AOCs
Updated 22 October 2026
Jettura, powered by Certified Jets, is an air charter broker. We are not a direct air carrier and do not own or operate aircraft.
The operator
The operator holds operational control of the aircraft and the flight. The commander has final authority on all safety matters. Your charter contract is with the operator, and the operator’s own terms apply to it.
What we check
Before you pay anything, we confirm the operator holds a valid AOC for the aircraft flying you.
An AOC (Air Operator Certificate, or a Part 135 certificate in the United States) is the certificate that allows an operator to carry passengers for hire.
What we do not do
- We do not operate the flight or control its safety.
- We are not responsible for the operator’s performance of the flight.
- We do not guarantee that a flight will not change. See If an empty leg changes or is canceled.
