Who is responsible

Jettura is a service of Certified Jets LLC, a Jets Capital company. Certified Jets LLC is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: privacy@certified.aero.

What we collect

Account and contact details: name, email, phone (optional), password (stored only as a secure hash), the regions and airports you choose, and your email preferences.

Trip information: requests, flyer-board posts, replies and messages, passenger numbers, luggage, budgets and notes you give us.

Quotes and bookings: quotes we send you, your acceptance, your electronic signature on the booking terms (typed name, date and time, IP address, browser details and terms version), invoices and payment status. For a confirmed flight we ask for passenger names and travel-document details the operator and authorities require.

Newsletter: your email, optional name, whether you’re a flyer, operator or broker, the topics you choose, and when you subscribed and confirmed. Our newsletters contain a tiny image and links that pass through our site, which tell us whether you opened an issue and which links you clicked; we use this only to improve what we send. Blocking images in your mail app stops open tracking.

Aircraft operators: company details, the Air Operator Certificate and the document you upload, and your contact name, email and phone. We use them to verify your company, publish your empty legs (without your company name) and contact you about requests for them. Your AOC document is stored privately and never published.

WhatsApp updates (optional): if you ask for them, your WhatsApp number and when you agreed. We then send quote, invoice and booking updates there as well as by email — links only, never payment details. Untick the option in your account to stop them.

Technical data: a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept for security. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Departures near you: your browser shares its time zone (for example Europe/London) in a small preference cookie, with nothing that identifies you, so we can list nearby empty legs first. If you sign in with home airports, we use those instead. If you set your city (typed, or “use my current location”), we keep only the nearest airport code in a preference cookie — never your exact position — and you can clear it with “Forget my city”.

Visitor statistics: we count visits without cookies and without storing anything on your device. Each visit records the page, the referring website, the device type and country; to count unique visitors we use a one-way code made from your IP address and browser with a random value that is deleted every day, so we cannot recognise you on another day or identify you. Your IP address is not stored for this.

How we use it

To run your account, show you empty legs relevant to your regions, find and quote flights for you, arrange and confirm bookings, invoice you, send the emails you have chosen (you can switch off message and daily emails at any time, and unsubscribe from the newsletter from any issue), keep records we are legally required to keep, prevent fraud and misuse, and improve the service.

We rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a safe and useful service, your consent where we ask for it (for example optional news emails), and legal obligations.

Who we share it with

Assistants you add: if you give a PA or family office access to your account, they can see your requests, quotes, bookings and saved travellers and act for you, until you remove them.

Operators: to price your trip we share trip details (route, dates, passengers, luggage) without your name or contact details. Once you book, we share the passenger details the operator needs to fly you.

Other flyers: requests are private. Shared flights appear on the board without your name or contact details, and interest in a shared flight is sent to us privately. We never share one flyer’s name or contact details with another; we match shared flights ourselves.

Service providers who process data for us — hosting, email delivery, WhatsApp messaging (Meta, only if you asked for WhatsApp updates) and payment handling — under contracts that protect it; authorities where the law requires it; and a buyer or successor if the business is transferred.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Flights cross borders, so your data may be processed in the countries of the operator, the airports and our service providers. Where the law requires, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

How long we keep it

Passport and ID details for a flight are deleted automatically 30 days after the flight. If you choose to save travellers in your account, their details (with document numbers encrypted) are kept until you delete them or close your account. Account data while your account is open and for a reasonable period after; booking, signature and invoice records for as long as tax, accounting and aviation rules require; other data only as long as needed for the purposes above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent. Email privacy@certified.aero. You can also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.

Security

We protect your data with access controls, encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you suspect misuse of your account.

Changes

We will post any update here with a new date, and tell you by email about significant changes.
